Helitreck Pilots, Winch Operators and Down-the-Wire Crewmen have extensive experience operating in some of the most confined terrain Australia has to offer. We have conducted many thousands of winches in arduous conditions and maintain a safety record that is second to none.

Helitreck conduct our winching in twin-engine Kawasaki BK117B2 helicopters. Our aircraft have undergone engine upgrades to excel in Category A conditions with improved One Engine Inoperative (OEI) performance.

We have developed our own Standard Operating Procedures manual, utilising knowledge gained from our Crewmen’s extensive experience in fire, EMS and SAR backgrounds. This manual is constantly developing to ensure a high level of skill is maintained and the risk encountered is minimal.

Helitreck regularly conducts winch training with the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSWRFS) and, through operations with NSWRFS, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and NSW State Emergency Service, have maintained an impeccable standard of operational safety whilst conducting a high volume of hoists. We are regularly audited and consistently meet and exceed our client’s high standards.
