Helitreck sent two helicopters VH-FHD and VH-TKD to Papua New Guinea for the month of July to assist with the National elections.
Project Summary
Operations were based out of 8 Mile near Lae, Madang, Goroka, Mt Hagen and Port Moresby. The helicopters were then dispatched to various villages and remote areas, dropping off and picking up ballot boxes, returning to the main bases each night.
We were ably assisted by our own engineering staff and Heli Niugini, who contracted us for this operation.
Both helicopters were flown from Sydney to Port Moresby and back, as well as working in coastal and highlands locations in PNG.
